Close Encounters Of the Griz Kind

I rounded a blind corner quickly at Brooks Lodge in Katmai National Park and came far too close for comfort to this adult male grizzly bear. Startling a bear is never a good thing but fortunately this guy was far too full of salmon to bother with me. I backed away slowly, while bringing the camera up to my eye to grab a few quick shots as the bear went back to munching on grass to ease his indigestion.
