Nubble And Moonlight
A ‘Blood Moon’ rise’s behind Nubble Lighthouse in Cape Neddick, Maine. The name Blood Moon has become a popular term to describe a lunar tetrad, which is four successive total lunar eclipses, with no partial lunar eclipses in between, each of which is separated from the other by six lunar months (six full moons). This image is from the last of a lunar tetrad which began on October 8th, 2014, and ended September 27th 2015.
