If I Knew The Way

I made this small cairn to mark a location I was scouting for a Milky Way shot. It wasn’t until after I had finished shooting the original scene that I realized the potential for this composition. Three things commonly used for navigation combine to anchor this shot of the Galactic Core of the Milky Way as it begins its decent into French Man’s Bay off the coast of the Schoodic Peninsula in Acadia National Park.
