Reflections Of Time Passing

I created this image a week before I turned 40, and the experience of making this image sort of put that milestone into perspective for m., It’s hard to feel old when staring through the viewfinder at a scene as timeless as this. I can’t imagine how many times this tree was blind witness to the Milky Way as it struggled to survive the rugged and unforgiving granite coast of Maine.
