-Coming through in waves
So this image was a bit of a challenge to pull off. I really liked the way the foreground rock mirrored the line of the Milky Way, but with high tide coming in I knew there was about zero chance I could get the angle I wanted without getting hit with sea spray. On top of that a flood light from a nearby house was creating an odd color cast in the highlights on the waves and rocks that I knew would be interesting to deal with in post. I basically had to shield the camera from spray by jumping in front of it and grabbed the exposures I needed between incoming waves. In the end I like how the odd coloration from the light pollution adds to the dream like quality of the image, and a little cold sea water down the back of the shirt never killed anyone smile emoticon
