Project 366: Day 167
- Lupinus
I’ve been playing around with an old favorite toy for my pic of the day recently, I’ve used it for 3 out of the last 5 shots to be precise, and it’s the Nikon PB-6 Bellows Focusing Attachment. It functions under the basic principle that the further away you move the rear lens element of a given optic from the imaging plane in the camera, the closer that optic will be able to focus.
It’s a total pita to use and just eats light, this exposure was made at .5 seconds f/32 ISO 500 with two Speedlight’s at full power less than an inch from the subject. But it's endlessly fun to be able to achieve greater than life size magnification ratios :)
